Mikao Usui, founder of Reiki

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive energy healing therapy that works by supporting the body's natural ability to restore balance and wellbeing.

The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words: Rei, meaning universal, and Ki, meaning life force energy. Many people believe this energy flows through all living things and plays an important role in our physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained or out of balance. Reiki offers an opportunity to slow down, relax deeply and allow your body and mind the space they need to restore and rebalance.

What happens during a Reiki session?

During a Reiki treatment, you remain fully clothed while I gently place my hands on or just above different areas of your body.

The experience is different for everyone. Some people notice warmth or tingling, while others simply enjoy a deep sense of relaxation. Many clients describe feeling peaceful, calm and deeply nurtured during their session.

Reiki isn't about forcing change. Instead, it gently supports your body's own natural healing process, helping to restore a sense of balance and wellbeing.

Is Reiki right for me?

People come for Reiki for many different reasons. Some are looking for relaxation during stressful times, while others are seeking emotional support, greater balance or simply time to reconnect with themselves.

Every session is unique because every person is unique. My role is to create a calm, safe and welcoming space where you can simply relax and receive whatever the session has to offer.

A Reiki treatment lasts approximately one hour.

If you'd like to experience Reiki or have any questions before booking, I'd be delighted to hear from you.
